Good stuff, really makes me want to get back in there. The first studio I recorded in had two GIGANTIC iguanas about the length of my leg and almost as big around (in their cages, thankfully). It was very dark, smelly, smoky, and wonderful. We did a full 2 day weekend, 10 hours per day. By the time we came rolling out for the "car stereo" tests, it felt like we'd been in a movie theater for days (they must have been saving the electricity for the equipment, or no one knew how to change a light bulb). The brutality of having to get the "perfect" take is for real, and you HAVE to be honest. And there's always (engineer/producer/mixer/masterer speaking) "I think you have a better one in you," or, once you think you have the perfect take, "Let's try that again, I didn't have the (insert name of mystical magic piece of recording equipment) on."

The CD sounds great y'all, hope to catch another show soon.

Love the blog. The party was great and we're so very proud. Chris, I now know why Ryan loves you; you are a true sensitive man and a great wordsmith. Your true success is that you let each other be what you are, and it comes out in the form of beautiful music.
To all of you...BIG success. We're behind you all the way.
Oh yeah, and I guess we owe you a couple beers.
